At the heart of every painting I do is my desire for people to see an individual animal, rather than a species as a whole. Inspired by my life experiences as an autistic zoologist and Kemetic pagan, my work explores personality through light, colour and our ancestral apotheosis of the natural world. In 2023, I made the decision to put my watercolour brushes down in favour of oils. I now primarily create dynamic alla prima pieces, with a richer colour palette and looser brushstrokes.
